The McLaren P1 MSO (pictured) will debut at Pebble Beach 2014
It may be Jaguar Land Rover’s Special Vehicle Operations in the news at the moment, but McLaren’s own Special Operations has been around since 2011, creating extreme examples of McLaren’s cars for deep-pocketed customers. And they’re back with two new MSO specials for this month’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance. The most impressive of the two MSO cars is, of course, a special edition of the already very special McLaren P1.
The BMW M135i Concept is heading for Geneva
BMW are taking the first petrol-engined car in its new M Performance range to the 2012 Geneva Motor Show – the BMW M135i Concept. It looks like BMW are going to be rolling out their new sub-M range of cars across the entire BMW range. We’ve already had the big diesel bruisers of the new M Performance Range – the M550d, X5 M50d and X6 M50d – revealed ahead of Geneva – and news of the M Performance Parts for the 1 Series.

Isn’t the Dodge Hornet just another look-at-me concept car? The waspishly named – and styled – Hornet concept was shown at last year’s Geneva Motor Show, but it’s edging closer to a showroom near you. Thomas Hausch, Chrysler group’s international director for sales and marketing, told CAR Online that plans were moving apace for a production version of the butch supermini.
